Rob Pate directs the Maryland Tailored Software Development practice at GRIMM. He brings a unique perspective and deep experience to clients with prescribed cyber needs. Rob founded the Government Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (GFIRST), led the US-CERT situational awareness program, and ran the Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) Forum for the entire federal government.
Rob holds a degree in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed graduate work at Johns Hopkins, Stanford, and Georgetown Universities. He was recognized as a top "Federal 100" executive for his contributions to government information technology and he actively participates / holds leadership positions in various boards such as the Internet Security Alliance, National Cyber Security Alliance (NDWQ), IT Security Entrepreneurs Forum (ITSEF), Infragard National Members Alliance.
